The U-Plex is an Eaton static metallic seal for aircraft pneumatic (bleed-air/ducting) flange joints, engineered as an improved alternative to the conventional E-seal. Its more resilient cross-section gives three to five times the deflection capability of a standard E-seal at lower seating loads, so it maintains a seal across flanges that are distorted or warped during assembly while providing equivalent leakage performance for the same cavity envelope.
