Description
RTV 6196 is a two-part addition-cure silicone that cures to a soft dielectric gel, giving electronic assemblies environmental and dielectric protection without the shrinkage stress a rigid encapsulant would place on delicate interconnects. Because addition cure gives off no by-product, it can be poured into deep or fully enclosed cavities and cured in place. It is referenced against ASTM E595 and shares a product family with RTV 6136, covering potting and encapsulation of modules, sensors and power electronics.
