Frequently asked

When is a tape primer needed?

When the tape's data sheet calls for one on that substrate, or when the tape does not hold well enough on the surface unprimed.

Does the surface still need cleaning before priming?

Yes. A primer does not replace surface preparation; the surface should be clean and dry before it is applied.
