Description
CA 8000C2 Reducer from PPG is a solvent reducer for CA8000-series coatings, the Desothane HS topcoat range. It is added to the mixed base and activator to reach spraying viscosity. Frequently asked
Can a different thinner be used in place of the one the data sheet names?
Not without checking. Solvent blends differ between paint systems, and the wrong thinner can affect flow, drying, adhesion and appearance. Use the thinner the paint's data sheet specifies.
How much thinner should be added to the paint?
The paint's data sheet gives the thinning ratio and target application viscosity. Over-thinning reduces film build and can cause runs.
