Description
Sur-Prep 5606 uses MIL-PRF-5606 hydraulic fluid as the cleaning medium, so it is compatible with the elastomers and substrates of the landing gear assembly. Zip-Chem supplies it as an aerosol for spraying onto an approved wiper, or as a lint-free AMS 3819 towelette pre-saturated with the fluid. It is non-ozone-depleting and low in toxicity.
The manufacturer describes it for wiping landing gear strut surfaces and elastomers to remove contaminants during maintenance, assembly and overhaul. Substrates not proven compatible with MIL-PRF-5606 should be tested first.
