FM 490A core splice adhesive is a modified epoxy sheet that foams in place, either freely or restrained. Syensqo (formerly Cytec) lists a curing window of 107 °C to 177 °C and a use temperature of -55 °C to 177 °C. Expansion is 1.5 to 3.5 times the initial thickness, and the absence of metallic fillers makes it radar transparent.
