Description
Aero-Lube D-5460NS is a resin-bonded molybdenum disulfide lubricant: MoS2 powder dispersed in a thermoplastic resin that air-dries in 5-10 minutes. Zip-Chem describes an extreme-pressure, abrasion-resistant gray film with good adhesion, effective up to 660°F (350°C). It was originally formulated for DC-8 flap track fairings.
The manufacturer describes it for engines, fan rotor assemblies, fan reverser pre-cool duct seals and DC-10 elevator bus support parts, and as a break-in lube, rubber anti-seize and gasket coating. Bulk form is ZC-460.
