Description
Bonderite C-IC Smutgo NC Aero, formerly Turco Liquid Smut-Go NC, is a dark brown concentrated acid deoxidizer from Henkel. It is free of chromates, dissolves readily in water, works at ambient temperature and is controlled by titration. Henkel gives nominal etch rates of 0.5 to 2.5 µm per hour per side on most aluminium alloys.
The manufacturer describes it for deoxidizing and desmutting aluminium alloys by immersion or spray, especially alloys needing low surface resistance before anodizing, conversion coating, bonding or welding.
