Description
D-5067NS is a petroleum-based, flexible corrosion preventive that air-dries to a light-coloured, transparent, self-healing film. Zip-Chem originally developed it for the aircraft industry as a rust preventive and says coated parts can be stored up to 1 year. It is chromate-free and protects against severe corrosion conditions and chemical fumes. One aerosol covers about 60 ft² (5.5 m²).
The manufacturer describes it for ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces, cables, tools, sheets, rods and bar stock during handling and storage. It is removed with Sur-Prep 3160, D-5640NS, ZC-640 or Sur-Prep 3167. Bulk form is ZC-067.
