Description
Aradur HY 906 is a Huntsman anhydride hardener for epoxy resins, chemically methyl 4-endomethylene-tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (nadic methyl anhydride). Low in viscosity and compatible with liquid epoxy resins at room temperature, it gives a long pot life and cured systems with very good thermal resistance and mechanical and electrical properties. Araldite resin and HY 906 mixtures require a heat cure.
The manufacturer describes it for casting, filament winding, laminating, potting, RTM, pultrusion and electrical insulation, for example in Araldite LY 1556 / HY 906 / DY 070 and MY 740 / HY 906 systems.
