LTR495LV is a two-component, addition-cure silicone paste filled for thermal conductivity and formulated to be flame retardant. Mixed and dispensed between heat-generating components and their sinks, chassis or cold plates, it cures through the full section without needing moisture access, which suits thicker and fully enclosed interfaces. Two-component addition cure does not depend on air or humidity reaching the bondline, so it cures uniformly in deep, confined or fully gasketed interfaces where a one-part grade would stall. What should I watch for when curing LTR495LV?
Addition chemistry is inhibition-sensitive — amines, sulfur-cured rubbers, tin-catalysed silicones and some fluxes and tapes can leave the paste uncured at the interface, which is exactly where a thermal material cannot afford a soft or unbonded layer.
