Description
AeroShell Grease 33 is a synthetic universal airframe grease: a lithium complex thickened synthetic base oil with corrosion and oxidation inhibitors and load-carrying additives. Shell developed it against Boeing's BMS 3-33 general purpose grease specification, aiming to let operators cut the number of greases they stock. Useful operating range is -73°C to +121°C; typical colour is green.
The manufacturer describes it for routine airframe lubrication on Boeing aircraft and in many MIL-PRF-23827C applications on other types, excluding wheel bearings, uses above 121°C and sliding uses needing molybdenum disulphide.
