Description
PR30BZP is a two-pack chromated etch primer from PPG Aerospace, used as a pretreatment primer coat. It promotes adhesion between epoxy and polyurethane primers and a range of light alloys and steel. It is phenolic modified for water resistance, gives good corrosion resistance and dries to a yellow film with gloss of 20 units or less.
The manufacturer describes it as an alternative pretreatment to chemical conversion coatings and for reactivating aged anodised or chromated surfaces. PPG states it is REACH authorised for aerospace use and qualified to BS2X32.
