Description
Araldite AV 144-2 is the resin component of a Huntsman two-part epoxy paste adhesive, cured with Hardener HV 997-1 at room temperature. The mixed adhesive is a grey, thixotropic paste with high strength and toughness, good environmental and chemical resistance, and suitability for vertical surfaces. Huntsman quotes a pot life of 80 to 90 minutes for a 100 g mix at 25°C.
The manufacturer describes it as a metal bonding adhesive that also bonds ceramics, glass, rubbers, rigid plastics and most other common materials. It is also sold in cartridge form as Araldite 2013-1.
