Description
Nycote 88 is a two-part nylon-epoxy liquid protective coating supplied as a base and an accelerator. Once combined it gives about three hours of working time, and it can be brushed, sprayed, dipped or rolled on. Nycote reports excellent resistance to JP-8, Skydrol and salt spray, and excellent adhesion to aluminium, stainless steel, composites and PTFE.
The manufacturer describes it for corrosion, electrical-conduction and friction protection on parts such as fuel hoses, copper conductors and landing gear, and lists it against OEM specifications including BAC5153, DAN1172 and DAN1174.
