Description
PPG PS 870 A-2 is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant that protects aluminium alloys and dissimilar-metal joints against corrosion. Class A means it is applied by brush, and the -2 means about a 2-hour application life. Mixed, it is grey. It is used on faying surfaces, fasteners and wet-installed parts during airframe assembly and repair, and is made to MIL-PRF-81733 Type I-2, Class 1, Grade A.
