Description
RTV 103 is a one-part condensation-cure silicone paste adhesive-sealant that cures with ambient humidity to a tough, flexible elastomer. The non-slump consistency makes it well suited to sealing seams and joints, bonding trim and hardware, and building formed-in-place gaskets where the bead must stay where it is applied. It is part of the RTV 102 / 103 / 108 / 109 family of general-purpose grades referenced against MIL-A-46106B.

Is RTV 103 suitable for use next to bare copper or sensitive electronics?
As a general-purpose one-part condensation silicone it typically releases acetic acid during cure, which can attack copper, brass and some plated finishes and is not ideal in enclosed electronic assemblies. Where that matters, specify a non-corrosive grade referenced against MIL-A-46146B such as RTV162 or RTV167 instead.
