Description
RTV 118 is a one-part condensation-cure silicone sealant supplied in a flowable consistency that cures to a resilient elastomer using ambient humidity. It is applied where a low-viscosity sealant must penetrate narrow joints, seal around wiring and terminals, or encapsulate small components, and where the cured seal has to hold up under thermal cycling. The grade is referenced against MIL-A-46106B and is widely used as a general-purpose flowable sealing and gasketing material.

Where that by-product is unacceptable, move to a non-corrosive grade such as RTV162 or RTV167.
