Description
PR-2001 Class B is a low-odour, rapid-cure sealant from PPG Aerospace based on epoxy-cured Permapol P-3.1 polythioether. The B-4 grade extends application life to 4 hours, with a tack-free time under 24 hours. The low-sag paste cures at low temperatures, ignores humidity changes and is rated from -62°C to 160°C.
The manufacturer describes it for fillet sealing of aircraft integral fuel tanks, fuselage sealing and aerodynamic smoothing. The longer B-4 working time suits larger sealing areas, and PPG reports good repairability over freshly cured and fuel-aged fillets.
