Description
PR-2201 Class B is an electrically conductive, rapid-cure, non-chromated corrosion inhibitive sealant from PPG Aerospace. It is a two-part, nickel-filled, epoxy-cured Permapol P-3.1 polythioether that mixes to a low-sag paste. PPG rates it from -55°C to 121°C, with intermittent excursions to 182°C, and reports no corrosion after 2000 hours salt spray.
The manufacturer describes it for electrical conductivity and EMI/RFI shielding while acting as a corrosion barrier on aluminium alloys and between dissimilar metals. It is applied by extrusion gun or spatula over PR-187 adhesion promoter.
