Momentive RTV88 is a red, spreadable-paste silicone rubber compound that cures at room temperature into a high-temperature elastomer. In this kit it is paired with RTV9950, one of the curing agents Momentive lists for RTV88 as an alternative to the standard DBT catalyst. The cured rubber keeps its elastomeric properties from -54 °C to 260 °C continuously, and up to 316 °C for short periods.
