Description
RTV627 is a two-part, condensation-cure silicone that pours and flows into complex assemblies before curing to a firm, opaque grey elastomer of relatively high hardness. It is used to pot, fill and seal electronic modules, connector backshells and enclosures where a flame-retardant silicone is called for and where the cured material should be tougher and less compliant than a general-purpose potting grade. The formulation is referenced against UL 94 V-0; Angad Aviation does not hold the listing and any component-level flammability requirement should be confirmed against the manufacturer's data.

Frequently asked
Why pick a two-part condensation grade rather than an addition-cure potting silicone?
Condensation cure is far less sensitive to cure inhibition from amines, sulfur-bearing rubbers and residual fluxes, which makes it more forgiving across mixed-material assemblies and less controlled production environments. The trade-off is that it evolves a volatile by-product as it cures, so allow for that in sealed enclosures and expect slightly more shrinkage than an addition system.
Can I use RTV627 where I currently use RTV655?
Only after checking fit and inspection needs. RTV627 is opaque grey and considerably harder and less extensible than the clear, more compliant RTV655, so it transmits more stress into fragile components and rules out see-through inspection — but it brings the flame-retardant formulation that RTV655 does not have.
