Description
Desoprime 7530 is a chromate-free pre-treatment primer that PPG Aerospace developed for aircraft exteriors. The base mixes 2:1 by volume with 7530B activator, needs no induction time and gives a 4-hour pot life. One wet coat builds 8-12 µm dry film, which is dust free in 30 minutes. PPG lists adhesion, corrosion inhibition and fast drying.
The manufacturer describes it as the pre-treatment layer of exterior aircraft paint schemes, overcoated between 1 and 24 hours. PPG designs Desoprime 7065 chromate-free polyurethane primer to go over it.
